ARC+ provided its rally services without cost in exchange for visibility and content coverage. The organisation did not impose a predefined creative concept or editorial plan. I had complete freedom to define the strategy, topics, formats and narrative. There was no paid media or platform promotion. All reported views came from organic distribution.

Project
ARC+ attracted crews and families from around the world but remained relatively unfamiliar to Spanish audiences, despite departing from Gran Canaria. With complete creative freedom, I designed and produced a cross-platform narrative that made the rally tangible through our own family crossing.
Challenge
ARC+ wanted to increase its visibility among Spanish sailors. Although the rally departed from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, most participating crews were international and relatively few Spanish families were familiar with the event.
For highly experienced, self-sufficient ocean sailors, joining an organised rally may not be essential. The clearest opportunity was among families and recreational sailors with enough experience to make the crossing, but who valued greater structure, coordination, monitoring and community along the way.
The communication challenge was to make this more supported way of crossing the Atlantic visible and relevant, without portraying the journey as easy, risk-free or suitable for complete beginners.
Human insight
The barrier was not only technical. For many people, crossing the Atlantic felt like something reserved for professional or exceptionally experienced sailors.
A list of services could explain what ARC+ offered, but it could not make the experience feel tangible. Seeing a real family prepare, face everyday decisions and complete the crossing alongside other crews made it easier to understand what this support meant in practice — and to imagine the possibility of taking part.
Strategy
Tell the story from inside the crossing instead of describing ARC+ from the outside.
Velero Forquilla became the audience's point of view throughout approximately one month of preparation and 24 days at sea. Daily Instagram Stories and seven platform-native videos documented the journey as it happened, combining practical information, family life, uncertainty, milestones and the relationship with other crews.
ARC+'s role was revealed through lived moments: briefings, preparation, coordination, shared activities, monitoring and the experience of crossing as part of a community.
The audience did not simply hear what ARC+ offered. It could see how that support shaped the crossing.

Let the audience cross with us.
Instead of explaining ARC+ from the outside, the content allowed people to experience the crossing from inside the boat, one real decision, routine and milestone at a time.

Execution
The narrative ran from approximately one month of preparation through the complete 24-day crossing. The route began in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, followed by seven sailing days to Cape Verde and another seventeen days across the Atlantic to Grenada. Seven vertical videos were published across TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook Reels. During the crossing, Instagram Stories documented the journey every day, maintaining an average of around 28K views per Story. The content was conceived, filmed, edited and published while managing the practical constraints of family life and production at sea.

Results
The project also covered approximately one month of preparation before departure, creating close to two months of continuous storytelling. All figures are combined organic platform views, not unique viewers or reach.

Why it worked
ARC+ was not presented as an organisation added to the story. It was shown as part of the structure that made the experience possible.
Following a family from preparation to arrival created emotional identification, while the real-time coverage translated an otherwise intangible service into visible moments of support, reassurance and community.
The content made Atlantic sailing feel more understandable and approachable without minimising its difficulty.
Learnings
An unfamiliar service becomes more compelling when people can see what it changes in a real situation.
Sustained storytelling made ARC+ understandable through lived experience, while the individual videos turned specific moments from the crossing into accessible stories with their own organic reach.
