Project

Brand strategy, visual direction and content for a tattoo and piercing studio in Poblenou, Barcelona.

02

The challenge

The studio's digital presence focused mainly on showing finished work. There was an opportunity to better communicate what happened around each tattoo: the craft process, the background of its artists and the close relationship with its clients.

The goal was to bring that experience to social media and help someone discovering the studio understand who was behind it, how they worked and what to expect from a session.

03

The proposal

Build the communication around three elements unique to the studio: its family tattooing heritage, care for the craft and the human experience.

Based on an analysis of the brand and its competitive context, I defined a narrative and visual criteria to bring consistency to its channels.

The proposal combined a new highlights structure, graphic applications and a content plan with distinct roles: introducing the team, answering questions, showing processes and attracting new audiences.

Introducing the people

A visual application that helps people discovering the studio recognise its artists and explore their work. It combines a portrait, a name and an invitation to learn about each artist's background.

From strategy to content

I developed recurring formats, scripts and filming and editing guidelines to bring that positioning into posts, reels and stories.

The proposals included introducing the artists, following a tattoo from drawing to skin, studio stories and concepts tied to cultural moments such as Sant Jordi.

Each format had a specific role within the communication and a visual treatment aligned with the proposed identity.

Don't kill a rose. Tattoo it.

A reinterpretation of Sant Jordi through the world of tattooing: turning a rose that wilts into a symbol that lasts. The proposal uses a small, humorous protest as the campaign's visual device.

Implementation and scope

The studio applied improvements to its visual consistency, highlights structure and post style. Full implementation of the content plan was limited by the time and budget available to produce and sustain it over time.
